ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. FANCY TAKING PART IN THE WORLD'S LARGEST PICNIC?

If the idea of having a picnic on the motorway seems strange, then you might be surprised to hear about 'Still Life Ruhrschnellweg', which is taking place on 18 July in the Ruhr region of Germany. On that day, the busiest motorway in the region, the A40, will be transformed into the largest picnic area in the world, with one direction of the motorway reserved for bikes and in-line skaters, and the other reserved for picnickers!

The event is part of the celebrations of the Ruhr region of Germany being the UNESCO European Capital of Culture for 2010. Ruhr is the largest urban development in Germany, bursting with museums, musicals, leisure parks and festivals.
