ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. Day 1 - Amsterdam

Embark in the late afternoon and enjoy a Welcome Cocktail and Dinner onboard.

 

Day 2 - Amsterdam

You are going to discover Amsterdam's serene canals, world-famous museums and historical sights on a city tour. With quaint cobblestone streets and minimal road traffic, Amsterdam is a city that is best explored on foot. Back on the ship a Dutch folklore show wil entertain you in the evening.

 

Day 3 - Cologne

Arrive in Cologne and take part in a city walk or discover the imposing Gothic Cathedral on your own. With its countless cultural and historical treasures, world-famous museums and a vibrant art scene, this old city has much to offer. The ship sails to Koblenz in the evening.

 

Day 4 - Koblenz & Rüdesheim

Embark in Koblenz in the morning where you can enjoy a guided city walk if requested, taking in the city's highlights, notably the 700-year-old Marksburg Castle. Arrive in the romantic Rhine town Rüdesheim in the afternoon. If you have booked the city walk the tour will bring you to the Music Museum, filled with self-playing instruments. For the rest of the evening relax onboard as you cruise along the scenic Rhine Valley.

 

Day 5 - Miltenberg & Wertheim

After an optional tour around Miltenberg's narrow cobblestone streets and half-timbered houses, sail on to enchanting Wertheim where you can explore the castle's imposing hillside ruins overlooking the Rivers Main and Tauber.

 

Day 6 - Würzburg

Arrive in the UNESCO listed Würzburg in the morning, home to numerous museums and historic churches and discover the Baroque Residence Palace with its great Venetian frescoes. There is an optional excursion to the town of Rothenburg.

 

Day 7 - Bamberg

Breathe the air of past centuries in Bamberg and experience a UNESCO World Heritage Site endowed with one of Europe's largest Old Town centres. Enjoy a walking tour before sailing south through the Main-Danube Canal towards Nuremberg in the evening. A lecture about the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal is included in your package.

 

Day 8 - Nuremberg & Berching

Join a morning sightseeing tour of historical Nuremberg and see the Justice
Palace - the site of the Nuremberg Trials. A visit to the Nuremberg Documentation Centre is also optional.

 

Day 9 - Kelheim & Regensburg

Sail through the final stretch of the Main-Danube Canal in the morning and choose to see the Weltenburg Abbey in Kehlheim. After cruising to the medieval city of Regensburg, an optional sightseeing tour allows you to explore the city's architectural delights. Later, enjoy an included Bavarian-themed evening onboard.

 

Day 10 - Passau & Linz

Join a tour of the 2,000-year-old city of Passau, located where the three rivers converge. Visit St. Stephan's Castle where you can see Europe's largest pipe organ. In the afternoon explore Linz, one of Austria's most important cities. You can also book an excursion to Salzburg.


Day 11 - Melk - Emmersdorf - Vienna

During a guided tour in the morning you can visit the Melk Benedictine abbey, one of Europe's largest Baroque monasteries. If you take part in this excursion, a wine tasting is included. You can also go on an evening excursion to Vienna at night. Inclusive drive to the Kahlenberg Mountain with a wonderful view of Vienna at night and visit to a typical wine tavern.

 

Day 12 - Vienna

Go on a city tour which is included in the price. The guide takes you to the impressive Vienna Opera House, the majestic Ringstraße and St. Stephens Cathedral. In the afternoon, an optional excursion to Schönbrunn Palace or to the Hofburg Imperial Palace is provided. In the evening you can enjoy a 'Sound of Vienna' concert and listen to the world famous music of Mozart and Strauss.

 

Day 13 - Bratislava

Explore the sights of Slovakia's capital on a sightseeing tour round Michael's Gate, Trinity Church and St. Martin's Cathedral and the medieval fortifications. This city tour is also included in the price. Explore the city at your leisure in the afternoon. The optional excursion can take you to the Little Carpathians or to the Imperial Festival Palace. The Captain's Gala Dinner will be the highlight of the evening.


Day 14 - Budapest

Enjoy a morning tour of Budapest visiting both parts of this capital city. In traditional Buda you will see the famous Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church, whilst the tour of modern Pest includes Heroe's Square, Parliament and St. Stephen's Basilica. In the afternoon take one of the optional excursions to castle Gödöllö to enjoy a horse show or go to the riverside town of Szetendre. In the evening, cruise Budapest and enjoy the onboard folklore programme which, like the city tour, is also included in the price.


Day 15 - Budapest

Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for your return flight to London.
