ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. Wiesbaden Christmas Market 2012

The Wiesbaden Christmas market 2012 transforms the city into a sparkling winter wonderland. Four entry gates, decorated with the golden lilies of the city's coat of arms, grant access to the quaint fairytale scenery of the Twinkling Star Christmas market.

Unique arts and crafts are offered at these nostalgic market stands that are decorated in the city's traditional colours of gold and blue. The tall shimmering Christmas tree and the manger with its life-size wooden figures are highlights of this beautiful Christmas market.

Wiesbaden Christmas Market

People come from all over to sample the sweet seasonal delights and warming drinks available at the Wiesbaden Christmas Market. A festive programme, which includes traditional carol singers and concerts, add to the market's unique charm.

The city comes alive at Christmas time with a large Christmas tree in front of the town hall displaying thousands of lights and decorations setting the scene for the city's colourful celebrations. Wiesbaden city breaks attract thousands of visitors each year who come to experience the festive delights this cosmopolitan city has to offer.

For exclusive and luxury goods, head for elegant Wilhelmstrasse. Taunusstrasse has mainly antique shops but is also excellent for art and design. The romantic passageways in the old quarter are full of shops offering curiosities, the nostalgic and the unusual, and in the pedestrian area of Wiesbaden's city centre you will find everything from high street shops to large department stores.

Trüffel

This classy and friendly restaurant is a deli, bistro and restaurant and the lovely     upstairs restaurant terrace is an absolute must.

Käfers

A popular bistro with striking art nouveau décor and daily live music.

Zum Dortmunder

This centrally located restaurant serves regional cuisine in pub atmosphere and the warm ambiance makes it a local favourite.

Kurhaus Wiesbaden

Built in 1907, the Kurhaus with the elegant casino is an imposing building and one of Wiesbaden's main landmarks.

Historical Old Town

Schlossplatz square in the centre of the city contains the stunning gothic Market Church and the New Town Hall. On the northern side of the square is the neoclassical City Castle, home to the regional parliament.

Neroberg Mountain

On the outskirts of Wiesbaden you will find Neroberg Mountain. A restored 1888 cable car makes the trip up the hill to the Russian Orthodox Church, modelled on the Church of Ascension in Moscow.
