Munich Christmas Market
Possibly the most beautiful Munich Christmas market can be found in the district of Haidhausen. Munich city breaks are a great way to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and to experience this Christmas market that becomes home to more than 60 festively decorated stalls over Christmas time.
Another marvellous spot for soaking up the special festive ambiance is the intimate Christmas market in the English Garden. Idyllically placed around the famous Chinese Tower, the air is filled with the enticing scents of gingerbread and roasted almonds.
In addition, there are 20 more Christmas markets located throughout the city of Munich, including a charming medieval Christmas market where costumed candle makers, glass blowers and blacksmiths demonstrate their skills. The lovely decorated Christmas market at Sendlinger Tor, is only a short walk away from the main market at Marienplatz. Munich is considered one of the top destinations for German Christmas markets.
