ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. ABTA was created in 1950 by 22 leading travel companies. It now represents over 5,000 travel agencies and more than 900 tour operators, right across the British Isles. Thousands of years of history can be easily identified in Luxembourg City. The city has prospered from "Lucilinburhuc" to the thriving metropolis it is today. The city has a turbulent history which is captured by the remains of the historic fortress. The historic and modern parts of the city are linked by over one hundred bridges which span its green river valleys.

The area around the train station is where the main shopping can be found, as well as in the Grand Rue and its surrounding side streets. By travelling a short distance out of Luxembourg City you can find yourself at the Auchan shopping centre,The Belle Etoile Shopping centre and the City Concorde Shopping centre.

If you prefer more little unique shopping lanes stroll along Grand Rue and Rue de La Poste in the Old City. There you can find everything you need if you are looking for European fashion and art galleries. For souvenir shopping head to the streets surrounding place d'Armes.

The Art Cafe belongs to the new wave of lounge bar-cafes which offers you a great menu like sandwiches, salads and wok dishes. In the summer you can enjoy the enclosed terrace.

This exciting restaurant offers mainly vegetarian and seafood dishes.It's so famous for its great food that it's often full.

Mosconi - 13 Rue Münster Grund

Double starred by Michelin this Italian restaurant promise you a great night. The best things about Mosconi are the home-made ravioli and the riverside terrace where you can dine in fine weather. Reservations essential.

Luxembourg became the Gibraltar of the North becasue of there battlement gates and sanstone rocks. Goethe said while he stayed in the city for a short time in 1792: "He who has not seen Luxembourg simply cannot picture these war structures, juxtaposed and superimposed as they are (...)."

Palais Grand-Ducal
