ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. With the opening of the Hotel Platzhirsch on 27th December 2009, Oberstaufen gained a truly unique hotel. Formerly known under the name of Alpenhotel Bettina the hotel has now been lovingly and creatively transformed with great attention to detail. Sleep as if in seventh heaven in our four poster bed or enjoy the views over Oberstaufen from one of our suites. The new wooden-floored wellness centre is just perfect for a swim, a sauna and a little bit of relaxation before letting the day draw to a close in our cosy restaurant that has its own bar and comfortable seating area. The Hotel Platzhirsch is very centrally located, just three minutes from the parks and 5 minutes from the pedestrian precinct, in a tranquil spot that is perfectly situated for walks, enjoying the night life or getting out and about for those that want to explore Oberstaufen by car. The hotel participates in the Oberstaufen Plus scheme so visitors can make full use of all the benefits the card offers (further information is available at www.hotel-paltzhirsch.de). Benefits include free use of the cable cars, the leisure pool and the ice rink as well as a free ski pass and free admission to the town's museums.
