Germany's Hamburg boasts a 1,200-year history - this attractive Hanseatic City is Germany's second largest and the port is one of Europe's most important. Its dynamism, multiculturalism and hedonistic red-light district, the Reeperbahn, all hail from its maritime history.

With its grand merchants' houses and elegant promenades, extravagant shopping arcades and a myriad of cultural sights, international musicals and excellent restaurants, Hamburg is fast becoming a top city break hotspot. One of Hamburg's main attractions is the harbour, the heart of the city, and its lively St. Pauli district, famous for the vibrant nightlife.

Explore the waterfront with a boat tour of the harbour and experience the city from a different perspective. A touch of the exotic clings to the warehouse district and the city's trademark canals. With its many parks and gardens, Hamburg is also Germany's greenest city.
