ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. The former German capital of Bonn is a city with a history dating back more than 2,000 years. Located on the banks of the Rhine and romantically known as 'The Beethoven City', Bonn is blessed with numerous historic sites, including the strawberry coloured Rathaus (Town Hall) and 'Godesburg Fortress'.

Today, Bonn is a university city and there are plenty of things to do with a lively cultural centre with many concerts and exhibitions. The area around Bonn has many wine bars along the Rhine where you can enjoy the views of the 'Siebengebirge' hills where the famous Riesling wines are produced. There are frequent flights to Bonn, plus a wide range of accommodation on offer including hotels and apartments.

Bonn is renowned as a compact shopping city with one of Germany's largest pedestrian areas:

Market Square

There are hundreds of little shops in the narrow lanes that lead off Market Square. The square itself is lined with bars, cafés and restaurants, with the beautiful Town Hall as an impressive backdrop.

Visit the wealthy Bad Godesberg district where you will find numerous elegant shops in the heart of the old quarter.

This vibrant brewery pub is one of the most popular venues in the Beethoven city serving traditional regional food and homemade beers.

Beethoven House

Beethoven was born here in 1770. Many of Beethoven's personal possessions are displayed in the house, including manuscripts and musical instruments. In the Vienna Room at the front of the house overlooking the street, visitors can see Beethoven's last piano.

Old Town

Stroll along the Romantic Rhine and through the Old Town to see Bonn's many historic sights such as the strawberry-coloured Town Hall, Minster Basilica and Beethoven Monument.
