A trip to Prague is never just any trip. It is always a trip
with class, with history and romanticism, because the very essence
of the city so demands it of us. The Eurostars David is
accommodation that meets the demands of a city like Prague. It is a
hotel with history, having lived through innumerable happenings
(the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the advent of Nazism,
liberation by the Red Army, the Prague Spring, the Velvet
Revolution) and, at the same time, a hotel with a renewed, youthful
spirit which nowadays shows in its interior design a perfect
merging of the classical with the latest in avant-garde trends. The
Eurostars David is a 19th century Bohemian, Neo-Renaissance palace,
totally renovated to offer our guests a truly luxuriously
comfortable stay in the most beautiful capital city on the
continent of Europe. Inside, it preserves some traces of its
original identity, such as the high ceilings or the impressive
wooden flight of stairs, which are combined with some innovative
interior designs. The Eurostars David offers some little secrets
that will help to make your stay in Prague far more pleasant: gym,
sauna, covered car park, a varied, generous breakfast and a duplex
suite with a wooden staircase, perched atop of the palace's turret,
with Prague at its feet.
The hotel also has a range of reception rooms, all equipped with
the most up-to-date audiovisual technology and prepared for holding
different types of events: banquets, business meetings, cocktails,
etc.
Location
The Eurostars David is magnificently located, close to the Moldau river and next door to the famous Dancing Houses by the architects Gehry and Milunic. It is set in the new city, a mere five minutes from the access to the old part of Prague. The major tourist attractions of Prague are easily accessible on foot: Wenceslas Square, the Charles Bridge, the old plaza, the National theatre (a mere 2 minutes from the hotel), the National Museum, the Jewish Quarter of Josefov, the house of the Black Virgin, the Spanish Synagogue and many others. In the vicinity, there are numerous restaurants, cafeterias, shopping areas and jazz clubs, concerts and black light theatres. Being so close to the river, it is also worthwhile having a wander along the Moldau river left bank where, 10 minutes from the hotel one of the most debatable, famous monuments can be visited: the monument to the Red Army, a soviet tank painted pink several times by Czech artists and activists.
