A variety of shops can be found in the narrow alleyways of Salzburg's Old Town. Here, you will find everything from international brands to small exclusive boutiques. Many traditional shops are located near Getreidegasse, the location for many bakeries, wineries, confectioners and tailors.

The oldest restaurant in Europe, housed in the former abbey of a church. The massive fortress built on Festungsberg Mountain crowns the city of Salzburg. To get there, you can hike up one of the paths or take the funicular from Festungsgasse. The Fortress Museum is distinguished mainly by its collection of medieval art.
