The history of the world-famous Passion Play in Oberammergau dates back to 1633. In 2010, more than 2000 village residents will present the five hour long performance telling the story of ‘The Passion of Jesus of Nazareth’ for the 41st time. The Passion Play

The new production, under the direction of Christian Stückl reflects the tremendous community achievement. Participants are now rehearsing the newly revised text whilst the orchestra and the choir are studying the glorious music created for the performance.
