Located on the River Rhine bordering France and Germany,

for art, music and architecture.
Historic landmarks of the city include the large market square
with its richly decorated red sandstone Town Hall and the Romanesque
cathedral. In Basel’s Old Town it is easy to combine sight-seeing
with great shopping, there is plenty to do and see to keep visitors
occupied!
Things To Do
- Visit the Museum of Cultures, one of the biggest collections in Europe devoted to the world’s different cultures.
- You will find Basel’s Zoo right in the city centre, home to 6,000 well cared-for indigenous and exotic animals.
- Go on a Rhine Cruise, there are plenty of boat excursions, offering great views of the city and its surroundings from the river
