Bremen - Fairytales & Science
Two cities – one state: Bremen and Bremerhaven comprise the smallest of Germany’s sixteen states. Bremen is a modern city where historic heritage and cosmopolitan culture combine to create a fascinating mix bursting with
attractions. All the sights, from the waterfront ‘Schlachte Promenade’ and the quaint ‘Schnoor’ quarter to the
UNESCO World Heritage listed Town Hall, are extremely popular. There’s always something to do in Bremen where
arts are all around, particularly along the ‘cultural mile’ in the heart of the city. From concerts to art exhibitions,
there is always a huge range of entertainment on offer.
Things To Do
- Enjoy a guided tour of the Becks & Co Brewery followed by a beer tasting session and a beer and a pretzel in Bremen’s oldest brewery tavern.
- Visit the oyster-shaped Universum Science Centre, where you can make virtual trips to the stars, as well as to the ocean floor and the centre of the earth.
- Take a guided tour through the UNESCO listed Town Hall with the 13 m-high statue of Knight Roland on the square in front of it.
