ATOL is a financial protection scheme for holidaymakers travelling on an air inclusive holiday, which is managed by the Civil Aviation Authority. This protects you from losing your money or from being stranded overseas in the very unlikely event that DERTOUR should go out of business. Our Air Travel Organiser's Licence (ATOL) number is ATOL 1839.

When you buy an ATOL protected air inclusive holiday* from us, you will receive a confirmation invoice from us (or via our authorised agent through which you booked) confirming your arrangements and your protection under our ATOL.

* The air inclusive holidays we arrange are ATOL protected providing either the person who pays for the booking is present in the UK when the booking is made or the first leg of any flight or flights we arrange for you commences in the UK. ABTA was created in 1950 by 22 leading travel companies. It now represents over 5,000 travel agencies and more than 900 tour operators, right across the British Isles. Current opportunities

Internships

We're offering great career opportunities in the form of several six-month internship places, beginning February 2013 and based at our offices in central London. Please note that applications for internship placements to start August 2012 are now closed.

There will be five internship places, spread across our sales and marketing and tours departments. There is also a placement available which will involve spending half the day in accounts/office management and the other half in sales and marketing.

If you'd like to apply for an internship, you should ideally have the following qualifications, skills and qualities:

PreDiploma or similar (for instance, Vordiplom Uni/FH) in business and/or tourism and/or marketing related subjects
Fluency in German and English
Work experience through placements, part-time job and/or vocational training and apprenticeships
Knowledge in the field of travel and tourism
Ability to work on your own as well as in team
Organisational skills, reliability and a good sense of humour
Friendly and confident personality

An internship with us will develop your skills and experience in the travel and tourism industry, and will pay £200 a month.
